Phillip Lance Roberson

Phillip "Lance" Roberson, 68, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 in Savannah.
Mr. Roberson, a native of Atlanta was born on March 8, 1940, the son of the late Johnny and Elizabeth Roberson. Lance was a longtime resident of Savannah and spent much of his time at Hogan's Marina following his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by his sister, Anita Flinchum. He is survived by his wife, Diane Roberson; stepson, Russell Passmore of Atlanta; sons, Lance Roberson, Jr. and Matthew Roberson, both of Mississippi; daughter, Mary Dooley and her husband Dewey of Mississippi; sisters, Eleanor Smith and her husband Robert of Blairsville and Martha Goodman of Atlanta. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. Stephen Morris and staff and the Pulmonary Rehab Center at Memorial University Medical Center.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1:00 PM Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial following in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
